Organised by the Sheffield Junior Lawyers Division and Sheffield and District Law Society, a highlight in the access to justice calendar, The Sheffield Legal Walk  sees legal professionals and justice advocates walking together to raise funds for frontline legal advice services throughout the Yorkshire.

Date: 16th June 2022
Time : Registration is from 5pm to 5:30 and is due to finish around 7-8:30pm
Where: Starting at Sheffield Crown Court and finishing at the Forum Bar on Devonshire Street
walkers will receive a complimentary drink at the end, upon arrival, and all additional drink purchase at the bar will be discounted.

Who can take part?: Anybody is welcome to join the walk as long as they are fit and healthy enough to do so. Don’t forget your furry friends are also welcome providing they are kept on a lead at all times.

All legal walks are being planned in accordance with the latest government guidelines, and it is hoped that legal sector will be walking together in person on Thursday 16th June 2022.

The Sheffield Legal Walk is an important fundraising tool for the Access to Justice Foundation Yorkshire – the local arm of the Access to Justice Foundation which is the UK’s only national charity solely focused on making and strategically allocating grant funding to the Free Legal Advice Sector.  Free legal advice agencies provide essential support to the most vulnerable in our society. By supporting the Legal Walk, you can help the Foundation ensure there is greater provision for these charities; to name a few, funds that you raise could:

•         Help a person enforce their legal rights to welfare benefits and live with dignity.
•         Ensure a disabled person facing workplace discrimination can stay in their job.
•         Help a refugee to make a fresh start in the UK.

This is a chance to enjoy some fresh air with your colleagues, friends, and family members (both human and canine) at your own pace and do something that helps truly change lives for the better. We can’t do it without your support!
