Paul qualified with an LLB (Hons) from The University of Sheffield in 2001.
Since qualifying, he has worked exclusively in the field of Employment Law. He began his career at Howells LLP, where he completed his training contract. He moved to a national firm based on Leeds for a few years before moving back to Sheffield to work as an in-house Employment Lawyer for the Council. He is currently Service Manager for Civil Litigation, managing a team of lawyers and paralegals who deal with all aspects of litigation work for the Council, although he still maintains an Employment Law case-load.
Paul has a keen interest in Discrimination Law and helps run an Equality and Inclusion Network, which seeks to promote diversity and tackle equality issues within the Council.
Paul is currently the President of the Sheffield and District Law Society and has chosen PACT (Parents Association of Children with Tumours and Leukaemia) as his charity for his presidential year.
