Lindsey completed her law degree at the University of Nottingham before returning to Sheffield to undertake her LPC at the University of Sheffield. She began her career at Atherton Godfrey Solicitors in Doncaster, joining as a trainee solicitor and qualifying in 2012. Lindsey initially practised in both clinical negligence and employment law, gaining valuable experience in complex medical negligence litigation while simultaneously managing a busy employment caseload.
In 2016, Lindsey chose to focus exclusively on her passion for employment law, joining Bhayani HR & Employment Law, a niche employment practice founded by Jay Bhayani. She became a director in 2021, helping to expand the firm and its HR offering into a thriving, award-winning business with recognition across Sheffield and beyond.
In 2024, Lindsey took on her current role as Partner at MD Law, where she heads up a newly established employment department.
Looking ahead, Lindsey is committed to increasing the visibility of the important work undertaken by the Law Society and its sub-committees. With initiatives including a refreshed website, a stronger social media presence, and the launch of a new sub-committee for managing partners, she is passionate about bringing together and supporting the legal communities of Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, Chesterfield, and the wider region.
President’s Chosen Charity 2025–2026
This year, the Sheffield & District Law Society is proud to support Grimm & Co, a Rotherham-based charity dedicated to helping under-resourced children and young people build confidence and develop skills through creativity and writing. Grimm & Co inspires imagination and adventure through its unique workshops, delivered at the Apothecary to the Magical—a converted church featuring a giant beanstalk slide, witch’s potions, and a world of storytelling. By fostering creativity, the charity transforms the lives of young people across South Yorkshire.
For Lindsey, this cause is especially close to her heart. Born and raised in Rotherham, she credits her own love of reading, writing, and imagination as the foundation for her passion for the law. Supporting Grimm & Co reflects not only her personal journey but also her belief in the power of creativity to shape futures.
