Apprenticeships in law
Apprenticeships in law: everything you need to know – Manchester, 16 March 2017
Overview The new ‘Trailblazer’ apprenticeship standards allow employers to tailor apprentice training to meet the needs of their business and enable aspiring legal practitioners to qualify as solicitors, chartered legal executives or paralegals by completing an apprenticeship. There are also a variety of non-legal apprenticeships that can support additional business needs. This is part of the Government’s commitment to build a world class apprenticeship system and develop more flexible routes into the profession for candidates from a variety of backgrounds.
With the new standards come new opportunities, benefits, challenges and funding structures (including the introduction, in spring 2017, of the Apprenticeship Levy for larger employers). Come and hear from employers, regulators and apprentices themselves about their experiences. This is also an opportunity to network and share ideas and experiences with other employers.
