Inclusion is not just the right thing to do. It's the smart thing to do.
The Sheffield & District Law Society EDI Committee proudly hosted an inspiring International Women’s Day 2026 panel, bringing together a full and highly engaged audience for meaningful discussion and reflection. Expertly hosted by Charlotte Wallage and Chloe Abbott, the session featured an outstanding panel of Lindsey Gaimster, Loma Sylvana Jones, Amber Millar and Anna Rudkin.
The discussion explored a range of important themes, including gender justice, leadership, inclusive language, workplace confidence, menopause, and balancing family life with career progression. Panellists shared powerful personal insights, highlighting how lived experience strengthens leadership and drives better decision-making. A key message throughout was that equality is an ongoing journey, requiring continued effort, allyship and open conversation.
The event created a strong sense of momentum and collective purpose, reinforcing the importance of creating space for these discussions across the legal profession. The Committee also encouraged broader engagement, particularly from male colleagues, to help drive meaningful cultural and systemic change.
