Sheffield & District Law Society – AGM – April 2009
The One Hundred and Thirty Third Annual General Meeting of the Sheffield & District Law Society was held at the Law Society Hall. The business of the meeting was to elect a new President, Vice President, Deputy Vice President and committee officers.
Committee
Paul Clarke (Taylor & Emmet) was elected President, taking over from Frances Woodhead (Sheffield City Council), Chris Fry (Wake Smith & Tofields) elected Vice President and Julia Watkinson (Wrigleys) was elected Deputy Vice President after a close ballot vote against Dan Stowers (Cartwright King).
Tony Gruchot (CA Law) will be taking on the role of Honorary Treasurer, replacing Nick Tudor (Bell & Buxton) who resigned his position after 5 years on the Executive Committee and Sally Rissbrook (Irwin Mitchell) continued in her role as Honorary Secretary.
Committee Members & Management Structure
The new committee & management structure was approved and adopted at the AGM. There will be four main groups which will split up into smaller focus groups. The group structures are set out in the attachment entitled managment structure. |
