Announcing Sheffield and District Law Society’s chosen charity for 2018… PACT (Parents Association of Children with Tumours and Leukaemia)

The Sheffield and District Law Society are pleased to announce they have chosen PACT as this years charity.

PACT (Parents Association of Children with Tumours and Leukaemia)  is a registered charity which supports the children who are being treated for cancer or leukaemia at Sheffield Children’s Hospital. Every year we provide trips and treats for the families including holidays in one of our static caravans and provide toys and equipment for the ward, clinic and oncology community nurses. We also have PACT House which is our accommodation where families can stay whilst their child is being treated at the hospital. This is particularly appreciated by the families who come from outside the Sheffield area.

Over the last few years PACT has undertaken a fundraising appeal to provide the hospital with a new oncology and haematology clinic and we are pleased to report that everyone should be moving into this new area in the next month. The new clinic has a spacious waiting room, a new treatment suite and is a bright and modern area which will be a huge improvement for the families and the staff working there.

We are delighted that the Sheffield Law Society has chosen to support PACT this year. It is partnerships and fundraising like this that have enabled our charity to go from strength to strength and be able to support the families through their journey from diagnosis to remission.
