Helen Keegan
Helen Keegan has recently moved from legal recruitment in to private practice joining No.1 rated Business Defence specialists Cartwright King.
Helen graduated from the University of Sheffield with an LLB Law (Hons) degree before completing the LPC at BPP Leeds. Having originally secured a training contract with a leading Int’l firm, Helen decided to change discipline and move into the world of legal recruitment; working initially for market leaders Michael Page before setting up her own recruitment consultancy NQUK. Although Helen has thoroughly enjoyed her time as a legal recruitment consultant it was always her intention to return to law and so when the opportunity presented itself to join the Business Defence team at Cartwright King the decision to make the move was easy.
Helen believes the business skills she has acquired over the past 3 years, coupled with her vast network of contacts will compliment the continued expansion of Cartwright King in the North. |

Chris Simkins
Chris is currently taking the LPC at the University of Sheffield, before starting a training contract with DLA Piper in Sheffield, 2009.
Chris read for his law degree at the University of Sheffield and graduated in 2005. He then left for London and gained an LLM in Commercial Dispute Resolution from the University of Westminster. Keen to return to Yorkshire, Chris moved back to Sheffield and began a year commuting to Manchester everyday to work for Eversheds in their commerical litigation department. He remains particularly interested in dispute resolution and is now a visiting tutor at the University of Westminster where he teaches negotiation to LLM students.
Chris is happily married and glad to be based in Sheffield. When not investing in his legal career you will probably find him either decorating his house or playing drums in a local jazz/funk band.
